This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Basically I've created a new account (formally OkTimeForPlanB) because that one was old and neglected and I wanted to start again.
Everything that has been added today (excluding the DeviantID) is from my second year university project that I completed about two weeks ago. My main focus through the year has been to create art that at first appears to hold no outstanding meaning or motive, but upon closer inspection by the audience, can start to take form and shape, manipulated by the viewers own imagination. I make marks and I ask the viewer to find their own meaning. A lot of the inspiration for this came from the Rorschach Inkblot test. I like to think of the work as a psychological process as well as an aesthetical one.
The reason I made fans was to hold on to some of that aesthetical value, but the fans are scarred with blots of ink that ask to be anaylised. It is a delicate balance between concept and face value. I chose fans because after doing extensive research I discovered that back in japanese history, fans were used not only as objects of beauty, but as weapons by the samuri. There is a double meaning that I mirror in my own work. I hope.
Now it has all been explaned you can browse till your heart is content (:
